Co-founder & CIO

Sang Ho Lee is Chief Executive Officer of Glenwood Private Equity and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Mr. Lee co-founded Glenwood and has served as Managing Partner and CEO of the firm since establishment.

Prior to Glenwood, Mr. Lee worked at Goldman Sachs. He started his investment banking career in the New York office of Goldman Sachs in the Financial Institutions Group, serving banks and insurance companies on various financing and M&A transactions. He subsequently moved to the Hong Kong and Seoul offices before founding Glenwood. During his career at Goldman Sachs, he served a diverse array of global corporates based in Asia executing equity/debt financing and M&A transactions involving financial institutions, manufacturing, consumer retail and corporate holding companies.

Before joining Goldman Sachs in New York, Mr. Lee spent five years in the Corporate Finance Team of Samsung Electronics, covering a broad range of accounting and finance functions for Samsung Electronics and all of its subsidiaries.

Mr. Lee previously served on the board of Haeyang Energy.

Mr. Lee received a B.A. from Korea University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Chan Jung is Chief Operating Officer of Glenwood Private Equity and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Mr. Jung co-founded Glenwood and previously served as Chief Investment Officer of the firm since its establishment. He currently oversees investment and portfolio management, global operations and risk management. He also served as CFO and on the board of TongYang Magic, one of Glenwood’s most successful investments.

Prior to Glenwood, Mr. Jung worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York for seven years, where he served global top tier private equity firms and broker dealer companies on various financial assurance and value enhancement advisory roles. Before Deloitte New York, Mr. Jung spent five years in the Corporate Finance Team of Samsung Electronics, covering a broad range of accounting and finance functions for Samsung Electronics and its subsidiaries.

Mr. Jung previously served on the boards of Haeyang Energy, Seorabeol City Gas, Hankuk Glass Industries, and PI Advanced Materials, and currently serves on the boards of CJ Olive Young and Invitros.

Mr. Jung received a M.S. in Accountancy from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey.

Michael Chung is Chief Investment Officer of Glenwood Private Equity and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Mr. Chung co-founded Glenwood and has been actively involved in all phases of Glenwood’s private equity development since its founding.

Prior to Glenwood, Mr. Chung worked at William Blair in Chicago, where he assumed a role as Vice President in the Special Situations and Restructuring Group. Before William Blair, he worked as an investment banker at Rothschild & Co in New York in the Restructuring Group. His distressed transaction and investment advisory experience covers a wide range of industries, including retail, electronics manufacturing and automotives.

Mr. Chung also served as an Air Force officer at the Ministry of National Defense of Republic of Korea, where he assisted the Vice Minister in sensitive negotiations with foreign ministers and chiefs of defense.

Mr. Chung previously served on the boards of Haeyang Energy, Seorabeol City Gas, Hankuk Glass Industries, and PI Advanced Materials, and currently servces on the board of Invitros.

Mr. Chung received a B.B.A. from Korea University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a Captain of the Republic of Korea Air Force Reserve.

Ryan Sang-Yeb Chung

Principal

Youngmo joined Glenwood after receiving his M.B.A. degree from Columbia Business School.

Prior to Glenwood, Youngmo was with Deutsche Bank as a member of their investment banking team in Seoul, where he was involved in a broad range of M&A and equity financing transactions by conglomerates and private equity firms.

Youngmo received a B.Sc. from The London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Sung Jin joined Glenwood after receiving his M.B.A. degree from Columbia Business School.

Prior to Glenwood, Sung Jin worked in KPMG’s Financial Advisory Services Team, where he advised clients on multiple domestic and cross-border M&A transactions across various industries.

Sung Jin previously served on the boards of Haeyang Energy, Seorabeol City Gas, and Hankuk Glass Industries.

Sung Jin received a B.A. from Tufts University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Ryan joined Glenwood from Wemakeprice, one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Korea, where he worked in the CEO Staff Team with a focus on development and execution of strategic initiatives including M&A.

Prior to Wemakeprice, Ryan worked at Hahn & Company for seven years as an investment professional responsible for all aspects of investing activities covering investment, financing, portfolio company management and fund raising.

Ryan previously served on the board of PI Advanced Materials and currently serves on the board of Invitros.

Ryan graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a B.S. in Operations Research.

Se Heun Seo

Senior Associate

Jeong Eun joined Glenwood from KPMG, where she worked in the Financial Advisory Services Team conducting financial due diligence on M&A transactions for conglomerates and private equity firms.

Prior to KPMG, Jeong Eun spent five years at PwC as an auditor serving companies in various sectors.

Jeong Eun previously served as Auditor on the boards of Haeyang Energy, Seorabeol City Gas, and Hankuk Glass Industries, and currently serves as Auditor on the board of Invitros.

Jeong Eun received a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University, is a PhD Candidate in Taxation from University of Seoul, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Korea.

Byoungjoo joined Glenwood from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML)’s Korea Investment Banking Team. While at BAML, Byoungjoo was involved in multiple M&A transactions for Korean conglomerates and private equity firms.

Byoungjoo received a B.B.A. from Seoul National University.

Se Heun joined Glenwood from Unison Capital Korea’s Investment Team, where he was responsible for investment and portfolio company management.

Prior to Unison Capital Korea, Se Heun was with Credit Suisse as a member of the Investment Banking Capital Market Division in Hong Kong, where he was involved in multiple M&A and capital market transactions.

Se Heun received a B.B.A. from Seoul National University.

Dujin Lee

Analyst

Jeong Hoon joined Glenwood from IMM Investment Global (IMMG) where he worked in the investment team focusing on overseas infrastructure opportunities in a wide range of sectors ranging from traditional oil & gas to technology-based renewables.

Prior to IMMG, Jeong Hoon worked in the Global Industrials Group at Citigroup Global Markets Asia (Citi). While at Citi, he was involved in multiple M&A and equity capital market transactions across APAC regions.

Jeong Hoon received a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.

Bryan joined Glenwood from Rillet, a venture-backed fintech startup in New York, where he led corporate development and strategic growth initiatives. Prior to joining Rillet, Bryan spent four years at HRS Management, a prominent NYC family office, where he actively participated in many of the firm’s direct private equity investments in the industrial, media and consumer retail sectors. Previously, he worked in the M&A advisory group at Lazard.

Bryan received a B.S. in finance, magna cum laude, from New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Dujin is an analyst of Glenwood Private Equity. Prior to joining Glenwood, Dujin worked at IMM Investments and Samsung Securities.

Dujin received a B.A. in Business Administration from Yonsei University.

Chanwoo Lee is the Chief Executive Officer of Glenwood Credit and a member of Glenwood Credit’s Investment Committee.

 

Mr. Lee founded Glenwood Credit and currently manages all of Glenwood Credit’s investments, including mezzanine, opportunistic high-yield and special situation investments.

 

Prior to Glenwood, Mr. Lee served as the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Partner of Dominus Investment, where he oversaw all aspects of investments, including deal sourcing, execution and fundraising activities. As an early member of Dominus Investment, he contributed to the growth of the company to one of the top credit investment firms in Korea.

 

Before joining Dominus Investment in Seoul, Mr. Lee worked at Eugene Asset Management, Credit Suisse Securities Limited, Bain & Company Inc. Seoul and New York, executing M&A transactions and equity/debt financing for a wide range of global corporates.

 

Mr. Lee received a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Jeong Eun joined Glenwood from KPMG, where she worked in the Financial Advisory Services Team conducting financial due diligence on M&A transactions for conglomerates and private equity firms.

Taejin An joined Glenwood from Lee & Ko, one of the top law firms in Korea, where he advised clients on acquisition finance, structured finance, and private equity investment as a partner attorney.

 

Prior to Lee & Ko, Taejin worked in the private equity fund division at Eugene Asset Management conducting mezzanine investments on mid-cap companies. Before joining Eugene Asset Management, Taejin worked in the investment banking division at KB Securities, where he was involved in multiple M&A and equity capital market transactions.

 

Taejin received an LL.M. from New York University - School of Law, a J.D. from Seoul National University - School of Law, and a B.A. in business administration from Seoul National University. He is a member of the Korea and Seoul Bar Association.

Hyungsoo joined Glenwood Credit from Daiwa Securities Capital Markets Korea (Daiwa)’s Investment Banking Team. While at Daiwa, Hyungsoo was involved in multiple M&A and equity capital market transactions for Korean conglomerates and private equity firms.

 

Prior to Daiwa, Hyungsoo worked in the Investment Banking Team at Samsung Securities, where he executed a broad range of advisory roles in M&A and equity financing deals across various industries.

 

Hyungsoo received a B.A. in Business Administration from Seoul National University.

Donghee joined Glenwood Credit from PwC's Deal Team, where he conducted several M&A advisory services for Korean conglomerates and startups.

 

Prior to PwC, Donghee was with KPMG as an auditor for financial institutions in various sectors including banking, securities, and insurance, and served as a Captain of the Republic of Korea Air Force, where he audited and prepared financial statements for multiple Commands and Wings.

 

Donghee received a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Korea.

Hakjun joined Glenwood Credit from McKinsey & Company, where he conducted multiple due diligence and post-merger integration strategy projects for M&A transactions.

 

Prior to McKinsey, Hakjun worked at Corstone Asia, where he was involved in various buyout and credit investments in Korea and served as a Lieutenant junior grade in the Republic of Korea Navy.

 

Hakjun received a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Emory University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a US Certified Public Accountant.

Yonghwan Kim

Yonghwan joined Glenwood Credit from KPMG's Deal Team, where he conducted multiple financial due diligence for M&A transactions.

Yonghwan received a B.A. in Business Administration from Seoul National University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Korea.
